"It looks like a good wicket to me and it should produce a result," Wright told reporters after inspecting the pitch at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium.

Asked about the mood in the Indian camp, he said the players were upbeat and eagerly looking forward to the series to take off.

Pitch curator Daljit Singh, who on Wednesday looked concerned about gloomy weather conditions, on Thursday, appeared more relaxed as the sun came out.

"It's good for the wicket. It will help it to firm up and give us an exciting game," he said.

Meanwhile, Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh chaired PCA's organising committee meeting on Thursday evening and reviewed arrangements for the Test.

Later talking to mediapersons, the minister said he was satisfied with the arrangements in place.

PCA president and former BCCI chief IS Bindra, while talking about the arrangements being made for the visitors, said besides the hotels about 70 families living in Mohali had offered to accommodate the guests.

"Shivalik Public School is also offering us 250 rooms and we believe there should be no problem as far as accommodation is concerned," he said.
