IIT-Indore student bags job with highest package of Rs 1.7 crore

Pradeep Mathur, director of IIT-Indore, said, “We are constantly improving as an institute. From a highest pay package of `65 lakh in 2011 to Rs 1.7 crore, the institute has improved majorly on its structure.”

Quoting figures from the report, Mathur said that around 97 students from a batch of 115 students had registered for campus placement this year. Out of these, 94 got placements from companies like Microsoft, Flipkart, Snapdeal and Mahindra amongst others.

Others were interested in their own entrepreneurial ventures or in pursuing higher education. The institute therefore had an almost 100% placement recorded for the year 2015, he said.
