Although forms are to be filled online, the fee is collected through bank challans and students are required to deposit it in their respective departments. More than two lakh students pursuing undergraduate courses at more than 270 colleges affiliated to DAVV are to appear in the semester examination throughout December and January.

“I waited for almost two hours in a queue at a university SBI branch to submit my exam form. I returned empty-handed as the cash at the bank ran dry. Considering the heavy rush in banks, university authorities should extend the date for submission of exam forms,” said second-year B.Sc. student Manish Kumar.

Sources said many other state universities are going to follow DAVV’s move and are likely to extend the deadline for exam form submission.
