Dinesh along with other police was jailed for his alleged role in the encounter of gangster Sohrabuddin Sheikh.

The high court had granted bail to Dinesh last week against a solvent surety of Rs one lakh and asked to appear on first Sunday of every month before the CBI court in Mumbai.

The Supreme Court in 2012 had shifted the trial to Maharashtra from Gujarat. The alleged encounter occurred near Gandhi Nagar (Gujarat). There are 23 accused in the case, including Dinesh.

Dinesh reached Jaipur airport at around 12.30 noon from Mumbai where he was given a warm welcome by his supporters. From airport he directly went to his residence in Bajaj Nagar area.

Addressing newspersons, he appreciated the support of people, police and government. On being asked about the time served behind bars he said, “I studied and concentrated on positive aspects of life,” adding, “I have no complaints or grudges against the authorities.”
