• Falling in love with love.

  Has @MeetCutesNYC blessed your timeline yet? They started posting just after Valentine’s Day and now have close to 300K followers. They ask couples on New York City streets how they met. The responses are a heartsqueeze, each one different, evocative. Doubtless an Indian clone is in the works. Please avoid tired “arranged but love marriage” stories.

  Missing the Maharajah.

  Because Mumbai’s National Gallery of Modern Art and the Ministry of Culture are exhibiting Air India’s legendary art collection. Paintings, sculptures, textiles, and jewellery from artists such as VS Gaitonde, MF Husain, Anjolie Ela Menon and more. Plus, an ashtray designed by Salvadore Dali! The exhibition runs until July 2.

  Sick of Simi Aunty.

  Three seasons in, the Indian Matchmaking star is still advising participants to “be flexible” and that “compromise” is everything. The only successful match on the show occurred at the end of season 3, and Simi had zilch to do with it. Their face reader hasn’t got anything right yet, either. Why are you still watching?

  Deep in Moonrise Kingdom.

  “You better not pretend you’re in a Wes Anderson movie” reads the prompt. But across Reels, that’s exactly what this trend is about. Creators re-imagine their mundane lives and everyday tasks through the filmmaker’s retro-pastel lens. Even better, most Reels play Obituary, from The French Dispatch.

  Sweating from our wallet.

  Someone paid £209,000 ( ₹2.13 crore) for a sweat-stained suit. Granted, it’s John Travolta’s iconic white costume from Saturday Night Fever (1977). The stains, apparently, are proof that the actor actually wore the garment on the dance floor. Wow but also eww.
