Lok Sabha Elections 2019: BMC staffer on election duty in Dharavi dies

The exact cause of the death could not be known at the time going to the press, but the government release stated that the official had complained of uneasiness.

A Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation employee on election duty at Dharavi, Vijay Sable, died on Monday morning.

The exact cause of the death could not be known at the time going to the press, but the government release stated that he had complained of uneasiness.

He was on duty at the office of assistant returning officer (ARO) for the Dharavi Assembly segment.

It learnt he was rushed to nearby Sion hospital, but the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Sable was a labourer in the maintenance department of G-south ward of the civic body.
