In pics: Delhi unleashes its inner geek at Comic Con 2015

The fifth edition of the Delhi Comic Con took place at the packed NSIC grounds in the capital as fans of all forms of popular culture came out dressed as superheroes and movie characters.

Delhi played host to the biggest gathering of geeks, nerds, fans, misfits, cosplayers and the stray casual observer as they descended upon the 2015 Delhi Comic Con held from the 4th to the 6th of December. Thousands turned up for the event at the NSIC grounds of the capital, where superheroes rubbed shoulders with movie characters and anime icons as the rebels in plain clothes watched on.

The con, in its 5th edition, hosted 250 exhibitors besides national and international names from the world of comics, gaming, movies and television.

Kristian Nairn of the TV series Game of Thrones fame was the main guest at the three-day-long festival. Nairn, who plays the character of Hodor in the fantasy series, also works as a disc jockey. Other guests included author and artist Rob Denbleyker who has created the much loved web comic Cyanide & Happiness and Canadian book artiste and writer TY Templeton who has drawn several mainstream and TV-associated titles like the popular Batman and Spiderman series.

Dinesh Shamdasani who has to his credit the Valiant Comics Library which has created over 1500 characters including X-O Manowar, Bloodshot, Shadowman and Eternal Warrior was also be present at the event.
