After the results for JEE Mains were declared on Thursday, autorickshaw driver Subhash Chandra Tiwari from Thane could not have been more proud of his 16-year-old son.

Dhananjay Tiwari ranked 515 all over India and hopes to bag a seat in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.
“My son has always studied by his own because I could not afford classes. I knew my son will score well but his result has made me extremely proud,” said Subhash Chandra.
It took Dhananjay more than one attempt to score this rank. “In my first attempt, my rank was 3,873 in JEE-Mains. I knew I had to score better to bag a seat at IIT-B so decided to take off a year to study for the exam,” he said. After clearing his HSC in 2016 from Kelkar College in Mulund, Dhananjay joined a city-based coaching institute where he was taught free of cost to prepare him for his second attempt. “I’m glad I chose to re-appear for JEE because this time I’ve bagged the 515 all India rank and I couldn’t be happier,” he said.
