MH-CET merit list out: Mumbai boy scores perfect 200

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research released the merit list comprising the rankings late on Thursday night and students were allowed to download their marksheets from Friday.

Three students, including one from Mumbai, have topped the Maharashtra-Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) by scoring a perfect 200. Rishab Rawat, 17, a Vile Parle resident, Vaibhav Jagtap and Pratik Joshi, were the top rankers, while Manarth Chhowala from the city and Shrishti Patil from Pune scored 199 on 200.

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) released the merit list comprising the rankings late on Thursday night and students were allowed to download their marksheets from Friday.

“Students can download their marksheets along with the merit numbers,” said Dr Pravin Shingare, director of DMER.

Shingare said, “From June 14 to 30, students can fill the forms mentioning their college of preference. The first selection list will be out on July 6. The counselling process for students opting for health science courses will begin next week.”

The MH-CET results without the rankings were announced on June 1. Of the 3.97 lakh aspirants that took the CET, 46,797 across the state are eligible for admission to the 2,810 seats available in government-run institutes — 2,570 seats in medical institutes and 240 seats in dental institutes.

Online registrations for students opting for engineering institutes in the state will be on until June 16. While the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has already announced the top score as 199 out of 200, the names of the merit holders will be announced on June 16, once the registrations are over.
