Pakistani singer Adnan Sami’s estranged wife Sabah has won the first round of their matrimonial dispute.

A family court on Friday granted relief to Sabah and allowed her access to the five flats at Oberoi Sky Garden at Andheri, which were gifted to her by Adnan after their wedding in April 2007.
In addition to these five flats, Adnan had mortgaged to her two other flats in the same building, she claimed.
Though the court also allowed Adnan to stay at the five flats, it said none of his relatives could stay there. This means Adnan’s third wife Roya Fariyabi, a German national, cannot stay at any of the five flats.
Sabah had filed a complaint under the Domestic Violence Act alleging that Adnan has driven her away from the matrimonial house.
Her counsel Mahesh Jethmalani and advocates Mrinalini Deshmukh and Edith Dey argued that Adnan was blackmailing their client and torturing her to drive her out of his home.
Sabah had alleged that Adnan was treating her with “cruelty”, therefore she wanted the court to restrain him and his parents from entering the five flats that [she claims] she owns. She also wanted the court to declare that the flats belonged to her.
Sabah suggested that Adnan could move to his own residence in Ankita Apartments at Lokhandwala, Andheri.
