The professor at St Andrew’s College, Bandra, who allegedly sexually harassed 10 women students during their viva voce exams, has been accused of harassment in the past as well.

At the time, however, the student did not file a written complaint and only verbally told college officials, hence no action was taken, said college authorities.
The professor, who is the head of a department, allegedly inappropriately touched some students and passed lewd comments during their oral exam on Saturday. A group of students then got together and gave a written complaint to the principal on Tuesday, after which the professor was suspended.
“We have already constituted a committee to look into the issue,” said Marie Fernandes, principal. The college has not filed a police complaint yet as they are seeking legal advice on the matter.
