Singer Tulsi Kumar says she is secure in her profession and does not feel threatened by actors turning singers.

“I don’t think it can ever affect singer. It has been happening since 70s that actors such as Ashok Kumar are singing in their own songs. Even now we see actors attempting few songs which is completely cool because some singers are also attempting acting. So, even actors have full right to sing. Every song requires a certain tone and voice. This cannot make any singers feel threatened at any point,” says Kumar, who has sung tracks such as Humko Pyaar Hua, Kuch Toh Hua Hai and Mere Humsafar.

Is acting on Tulsi’s mind? “No, that is not on my mind. I always feature in my video. Face should be related with the songs and people have started recognizing my face. A lot of people now know who Tulsi Kumar is and it is a nice feeling. However, I don’t intent to take up acting as a profession.”
