Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, a great champion of Indo-Pak friendship, announced that he will soon be working with Ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali in his upcoming play, Milne Do. The 67-year-old director said that when he approached Ghulam Ali, he gracefully agreed to lend his voice and added that he is not sure whether the Pakistani singer will come to India or not, but he will certainly sing a song for the play, reports the Dawn.

Further talking about the resistance Ghulam Ali faced by the Shiv Sena earlier, Mahesh said that Ali has been a Ghazal king for years and has been coming to India for a long time and asserted that his ‘unpleasant experience’ was completely unfair.
The legendary singer, who had to cancel his concerts in Mumbai and Pune in October after protests by Shiv Sena, had also called off a concert in New Delhi scheduled to happen on November 8.
