The Sports Department of the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has decided to induct a fresh batch of 60 students in its Chess Learning Centre for the coming session beginning from July 2010.

The centre will run for a period of six months in which classes would be conducted by veteran chess players, RSP sources said in Rourkela on Thursday.
The chess learning centre run by the RSP has proved to be an important forum for the young chess talents of the steel city to hone their skills under the watchful eyes of veteran chess players and coaches.
Many youngsters groomed in this centre have earned laurels in local, state and national as well international levels.
