South Africa notched up its first medal at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi on Monday, with Chad Le Clos winning gold in the men's 200m butterfly.

The 18-year-old won in a time of 1:56.48, with England's Michael Rock in silver and Canada's Stefan Hirniak in bronze.
