Photos: A longer winter delays shedding of leaves in Delhi

The roads and sidewalks in New Delhi abound with fallen leaves. With winter extending till the end of March this year, and the temperature shooting up in the last few days, the process of shedding of leaves and flowering has been delayed this year. The city experienced what was its coldest March night in 40 years on March 1 this year, when the minimum temperature dropped to 6.8 degrees Celsius.
