Driver killed after tree falls on autorickshaw following heavy pre-monsoon rains in Pune

“We had to first cut the tree and then the autorickshaw to pull him out from the wreckage. The tree was completely uprooted and it fell right on top of his vehicle, leaving no space to escape. We had to take help from the Pune metropolitan region development authority for a crane to pull out the fallen branches and other vehicles,” said fire officer Gajanan Patrudkar of Kothrud fire station.
