Forum for Information Technology Employees (FITE) members to meet CM Fadnavis

The process of registering an issue in the labour court and the subsequent procedure is a lengthy one, according to the members of FITE.

Members of the Forum for Information Technology Employees (FITE), Maharashtra's first registered IT union, are scheduled to meet chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday to discuss the formation of the IT committee.

Pavanjeet Mane, president of FITE and member Prashant Pandit also met with Shrikant Bharatiya, officer on special duty (OSD) to chief minister of Maharashtra, on Wednesday.

"We had a great meeting with OSD of the chief minister, Shrikant Bharatiya on Wednesday and he has assured us to form a state-level IT committee. FITE members have been called to meet the chief minister on February 3 to take these things forward," said Mane.

"As of today 72 cases have been filed at the Pune and Mumbai labour commissioner office and around 20 cases have moved to the labour court of Pune," a statement from FITE reads.

The process of registering an issue in the labour court and the subsequent procedure is a lengthy one, according to the members of FITE.
