LPU's NEST would be the fourth largest entrance test of India after JEE, AIPMT and EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh).

NEST will be conducted from the month of April onwards and the candidate clearing it would be considered eligibile for admission and for scholarship up to `4 Lakh per student as per the scholarship policy of the university.

LPU chancellor Ashok Mittal said, "Students of nearly 2,000 schools of the country have registered for NEST and we feel proud that such a large number of students, not only from north India only but from across the country have registered for the test."Those qualifying NEST will be exempted from appearing in other eligibility tests conducted for admissions in LPU. The test will consist of 90 multiple choice questions, objective type in nature, to be answered in 120 minutes. There will be 30 questions each for physics, chemistry and mathematics/biology.Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for the test and students should have either completed or shall be appearing in the final examination of 10+2, in 2014.
