Punjab Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday met Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar over lunch and invited him to campaign for the party in the state.

Amarinder, who was in Patna to take part in the 350th birth anniversary celebrations of the 10th Sikh Guru, Gobind Singh, offered prayers at Takht Harmandir Sahib and praised Nitish for taking personal interest in making elaborate arrangements for the Parkash Parv.
Amarinder and party’s Punjab affairs in-charge Asha Kumari invited Nitish to campaign for the Congress in the Punjab assembly elections. The Congress is part of Nitish Kumar’s coalition government in Bihar.
Amarinder was also offered a “siropa” and a shawl at Takht Harmandir Sahib. Amarinder later visited the replica of the shrine at the historic Gandhi Maidan and listened to kirtan along with thousands of devotees who had come from far-off places to join the historic celebrations. He did “langar sewa” and also partook of langar.
