Accusing the government of being "insensitive" towards the plight of the farming community, Yadav said on Thursday that input costs had gone up, but the farmers were not being compensated adequately for their produce.

The former minister also accused the government of doublespeak on the black money issue. "The NDA had promised to bring back the black money stashed illegally in foreign banks within 100 days and reveal the names of account holders, but has not done anything to keep its word," he said.
