Congress leader Jagbir Singh Brar meets agitating staff of PIMS

Jagbir Singh Brar, president of the district (rural) unit of Congress visited Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Tuesday and met agitating nursing, para medical staff and students.

After meeting them, Brar said that the state government should take over the institute and should operate it as a civil hospital so that poor people can get better medical facilities on cheaper rates. Brar criticised the government for contemplating to hand over the institute to Fortis or any other private party.
