Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar has invited the agitating Jat leaders for talks at his residence here at 1pm on Wednesday. He has also urged them to call off their stir.

Stating that the government was ready to discuss the matter and had already filed a review petition on this issue in the Supreme Court, finance minister Capt Abhimanyu said the state had about 2.5 crore people belonging to various communities and the state government belonged to all of them. “In a democratic setup, every problem can be resolved through dialogue,”said Capt Abhimanyu.

The minister said that Khattar had already constituted a committee headed by the chief secretary to look into the matter of providing reservation to Jats and it had been told to submit its report at the earliest. Khattar invited all organisations, committees and khap representatives involved in the matter for talks through deputy commissioners concerned, he added.
