A Class 9 student of Malwa Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Anmolpreet Kaur Pannu is the only girl at the school-level to be selected for the training from the country.

Talking to HT, the six feet tall Anmol said, “I started playing basketball when I was in Class 9 class just to be a part of the school basketball team, but it slowly became my passion. My father Parminder Singh inspired me to choose basketball as a career.”

She added that the game requires dedication and discipline and she puts in five hours of daily practice- two hours in morning and three hours in evening. “This dream has only been made possible due to the able guidance of my coaches Jaipal Singh and Devinder Singh Dhindsa,” she said.
