Arriving here amid protests by rival parties, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal accused Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal of preparing “fake CDs” to malign his party.
Addressing the media inside a party volunteer’s house at Jhande village of Ludhiana district, Kejriwal said he had information that Sukhbir had prepared “63 fake CDs” against his leaders. “They (the Akalis) will play two-to-three CDs every day on their PTC channel.” he said.

“People would tell me of the Badals’ plan to start attacking me a few months before the elections, and that they had hired a company to make the CDs. The attacks have started,” he said. “Last time, I came to Punjab, my car was attacked. Recently, the AAP workers were attacked in Malout. Today, I was attacked at the New Delhi and Ludhiana railway stations.”

We will send the Badals to jail,” he added. “Badal and company ko jail mei pahunchakar khunta gaad ke baithunga (will send the Badals to jail and peg myself to the Punjab ground). Punjab ka kisan bure halat mein hai (Punjab’s farmer is in bad circumstances). There was a time when he was the happiest. Now, he is committing suicide. We have a blueprint to save him.”

{{/usCountry}}He said if the AAP came to power, it would rid Punjab’s farmers of debt “by December 2018”. He will release the manifesto at Baghapurana near Moga on September 11, he says. “This is not an election. This is going to be a revolution,” the AAP leader said about the Punjab polls coming up in 2017.

No questions
Kejriwal, whose party faces internal crisis in Punjab,didn’t take any questions from the media.
This is his first visit to Punjab after the AAP sacked its state unit chief Sucha Singh Chhotepur after a cash sting, and some other leaders quit over the allegation of corruption in ticket allotment.
