Anu Emmanuel is currently one among the most sought after heroines in Telugu filmdom. She has two biggies in her kitty -- a project with Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya and the yet-untitled Pawan Kalyan film. Although she already has two Telugu releases to her credit, her debut film Oxygen is gearing for release soon.
The Action Hero Biju actress considers it a blessing to be working with Pawan Kalyan. Talking to Deccan Chronicle, she said, “I was really scared on the first day of my shoot with Pawan sir. It was a romantic scene and I was prepared for all my lines, but once I saw him, I forgot all my lines. He is a cool person and jokes a lot,” she says. Anu also believes that she is lucky to have bagged this film early in her career. “Standing next to Pawan is a blessing for me.” She also has a yet-untitled Telugu film opposite Naga Chaitanya. “After I wrap up the Telugu projects, I am planning to sign a Malayalam film too.”
Naa Peru Surya and Pawan Kalyan starrer will make or break Anu’s career in Tollywood. If these films turn out to be successful, there’s no turning back for her. She is also exploring opportunities in Tamil. Her last Tamil outing was Vishal starrer Thupparivaalan, in which she plays a pickpocket.
