Following the success of Gauthamiputra Satakarni, Nandamuri Balakrishna played his cards safely. Even though he had options to choose from for his next film, he decided to go with director Puri Jagannadh, given the latter’s track record and a highly satisfying script. This will be the first time Balayya, as he’s fondly known, will be teaming up with Puri, popular for delivering hits such as Pokkiri, Businessman and Temper. The film was officially launched on Thursday and it has already been confirmed that the film will hit the screens worldwide on September 29.
A source close to Puri informs HT that the film will showcase Balayya in a new light. “After working in a historical drama, Balakrishna sir was on the lookout for a script that will feature him in a never-seen-before avatar and when Puri pitched his story, he found just exactly what he was looking for and immediately gave his nod. A popular Bollywood stylist will be hired to take care of Balakrishna’s look in the film.”
Filmmakers SS Rajamouli and Krish also attended the event.
To be produced by Bhavya Creations, the makers are yet to finalise the leading lady and the rest of the cast. It is being rumoured that Anup Rubens is most likely to compose the music while Rathnavelu will crank the camera.
