"I will love to make a Marathi movie but I am hard pressed for time. Currently, I am busy with my other movie commitments," the 46-year-old director said.

Ashutosh, whose Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se starring Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone is lined up for release, said he was very proud to see the way Marathi movies are comping up these days.

While Ashutosh has helmed Hindi movies like Lagaan, Swades and Jodhaa Akbar, he has only acted in Marathi cult movies including Sarkarnama, Vazir and Ek Ratra Mantarleli.

Sumbaran, a musical, would be Ahire's fourth film to be screened at Goa. Earlier, his Not Only Mrs Raut, Bayo and Shevri were shown at the prestigious film festival.

Ashutosh also recalled his long association with the movie's music director Rahul Ranade. "My association with Rahul goes back to 1984 when we both had worked in Holi. It was because of him and the way the movie has shaped up, that I was compelled to come for this music launch," Ashutosh said.

Sumbaran is a romantic love story of a village left behind starring popular Marathi actors including Jitendra Joshi, Makrand Anaspure.
