The journey has not been easy and Vikram admits that making a film is a difficult process. “I had no choice but to deliver. I decided to move out of my comfort zone and don a hat completely unaware to me. I was taking calls on production decisions as well as direction details. It was a roller-coaster ride. I definitely did not want my first film to be trial and error,” says Vikram.

On choosing the Marathi industry as his debut platform, he shares, “Honestly, it wasn’t intentional. I started writing this film in Hindi, however, things did not work out and so I took it up in Marathi. My next film could be Marathi or Hindi. I do not believe in films being divided on language.”

Ask him what he feels about the recent controversy between actors and singers, where each feel the other shouldn’t enter respective spaces. “I am in a creative field. There should be no parameter to divide a creative person. If one wants to write, sing, act, edit or play music, it should be an individual choice.” So, will we see him in front of the camera. “No way. I can’t act. I would love to be involved in all the nuances of filmmaking except acting.”
