The first motion poster of Bobby Simha and Prakash Raj's KO2, a sequel to 2011's hit KO, is out, and promises to take the drama of the original a few notches higher. The poster opens to a collage of Chennai's iconic buildings -- from the railway station to ITC Grand Chola -- only to be merged with the one building that spells ultimate power, the state secretariat building. The image changes as more buildings keep getting added to the collage with corporate-style steel and glass buildings getting added in fast succession. We also see symbols of modernity - futuristic vision of an urban landscape with a monorail gliding past the screen.
Towards the end of the 40-second motion poster, outlines of gun-trotting Simha and a seated Prakash Raj greet us. We are shown the inside of a corporate room. Clearly, this second image has been superimposed on the main collage.
KO ended with press reporter Ashwin Kumar Jayaraman (played by actor Jiiva) who exposes the corrupt politicians preparing to cover an upcoming election. In its sequel KO 2, Simha will play the lead. The sequel won't star Jiiva, who starred in the first film of the franchise. Debutant Sharath will be directing the film.
