Kaccha Limbu (2017) was selected in the competition category of Pune International Film Festival. An elated Prasad Oak (director, Kaccha Limbu) says that this was the best way to start the New Year, and this mention adds to all the acclaim the film has garnered since its release.

The 7, Roshan Villa (2016) actor is happy that the jury found his directorial debut to be worthy of the fest and competition category. He says, “I am happy that the film has made it to one of the most prestigious film festivals in the country. Also, this is the first time that the jury has considered a released film for the competition category.”

So, is this exactly how he had expected his film to do? “Well, honestly, I was sceptical about the commercial success but I was damn sure of critical acclaim. I knew while making the film that the story will connect with the right audience. Once it was selected at IFFI (International Film Festival of India) I was assured of being on the right path.”
