Prabhas’ all-black trench coat look in a poster of Saaho, which was released on the Baahubali actor’s 38th birthday, may have wowed millions of his fans but some could not help notice its striking similarity with the poster of Blade Runner 2049 starring Ryan Gosling that released in October.
Take a close look -- Prabhas’ character sports a black trench coat, so does Ryan Gosling. The face is half covered with black cloth, ditto in Blade Runner 2049. What’s more is that even the setting seems much the same. Both are walking towards the camera, and while Prabhas is looking at the camera, Ryan is looking away. However, what one can’t miss is the mood of the photo.
Saaho, of course, shows us outlines of skyscrapers in the background. With Blade Runner 2049, all we see is a flash of blue light, reflecting on Ryan’s coat. The rest is lost in a haze.
