A 22-year-old dog named Gino Wolf has been named the oldest dog living in the world by Guinness World Records. The dog was born in September 2000, and Alex Wolf adopted him two years later from Colorado’s Humane Society of Boulder Valley. He has since then taken good care of him. “I’ve taken great care of him over the years and he is still in relatively very good shape...and really cute still which is surprising considering his age!” Guinness World Records quoted Alex Wolf as saying.

According to the dog’s human, Gino stuck with him through thick and thin. “He’s been there every step of the way. I’m so glad we got him. He’s the best. If we were having a later night, he would stay up, and if I was sleeping in, he would sleep in. He was one of the guys,” Alex told Today.

“When he was younger, he used to love exploring my parents’ huge backyard with our other dogs in Manhattan Beach, going on walks off the leash in Venice, going on drives along the coast blasting music with his head out the window, or running around on the golf course in La Quinta,” Wolf said.
