Purab Kohli is coming back on the small screenw with Prisoners of War (POW) and hopes it leaves a mark as strong as that left by the 1998 hit show Hip Hip Hurray.

Purab has been spending his time prepping for the role as he essays the character of a prisoner who restarts his life once he is out of prison, said a statement.
Excited about the new show, Purab said in a statement: “After a long wait we finally dive into the shooting of POW. I’m looking forward to doing a long running fictional TV show after so many years... The only one being Hip Hip Hurray in 1998-99.
“I do hope POW, like Hip Hip Hurray, leaves a lasting impression on people who have and continue to enjoy watching my work. The genre is quite different from Hip Hip Hurray, and I’m looking forward to be directed by Nikkhil, whose work I enjoyed so much in D-Day.

“Also there are interesting actors on the show that I’m looking forward to working with. The next few months are going to be very fulfilling I’m sure of it.”
The show also stars Amrita Puri, Sandhya Mirdul and Satyadeep Mishra in pivotal roles. The crew and cast have begun shooting in Mumbai’s Kamalistan Studios.
