Crime Patrol is back with Season 2

The show Crime Patrol that dealt with real life cases is back and willl go on ait from next week. Read on to know more about the show.

Crime Patrol

will be back on air with its second season next week. The show produced by Optimystix will be a bi-weekly and run into 50 to 60 episodes. The fiction show, whose last season ended two months ago, will feature actor Anoop Soni as a host.

“We haven’t decided on whether Sakshi Tanwar, who co-hosted the show in the last season, will co-host the show this time or not. If she opts out, we’ll have to figure out a new co-host,” says Ajay Bhalwankar, head of programming, Sony Entertainment.

hasn’t been allotted a slot as yet. Nevertheless, my team is excited and so am I. This time, we’ve researched even more on the cases. We’ve found some very interesting ones, like the one of a woman who was a forest officer’s wife who went over to the dacoits in the jungle to free her husband from them. This time, we will recreate the crime scene, which will be put together in a story format by Anoop and his co-host. We’ve also approached loads of popular actors to enact the crime out,” beams Vipul D Shah, the owner of Optimystix, the production house handling the show.

Given that the show didn’t fetch the TRP of over 2 points through the last season in a prime time slot, isn’t there apprehension over it’s result this time? “Not at all,” says Shah. “The TRP we fetched last time was fantastic for a show like this in the slot it had. It did well and that’s why it’s back!”
