Actor Kavita Kaushik is head over heels in love with her husband Ronnit Biswas. While marriage brings along a huge change in anyone’s life, the 36-year old begs to differ. “Meri life mein (in my life) there’s been only one change — I wear sindoor too with my Indian clothes now! There’s been no other change, in fact, I have become more independent. Earlier, I was doing everything, I was taking care of all my responsibilities. But now I have a husband who’s my partner in everything.”
“Ronnit is like my friend, and takes care of all those things I can’t manage when I am busy with something or shooting. When it comes to taking care of the household things, we have divided our duties 50-50, but I think he does 90 percent, while I am left with just ten percent!” laughs Kavita.
She is known for her role as Chandramukhi Chautala, a tough cop in the comedy TV series FIR. She jokes, “I genuinely feel like a woman now. Pehle toh vardi pehen-pehen ke (Earlier, as I regularly wore the cop uniform, for my character) I, myself, forgot that there’s a woman behind this uniform! I feel like a princess (now) — all my work gets done, my bills get paid! Ronnit ne meri andar ki aurat ko jaga diya (Ronnit has made the woman in me come alive).”
