Thank you HBO for releasing the first teaser trailer for the sixth season of our favourite show Game of Thrones. But don’t start thinking we’ve stopped hating you. In fact, after these 40 seconds, we feel we’ve started hating you with extra ferocity.
You show us our hero Jon Snow, but continue to keep his fate in the dark. “The past is already written. The ink is dry,” you tell us. What does that even mean? No, we’re serious: What does that even mean, HBO? More sleepless nights is what it means. You show us white walkers, dragons, incest and remind us of all the deaths we’ve tearily received. You even tease us with the return of a newly magical Bran.
But then you take it a step further. You thrust Jon Snow in our face, only to mock us with his ‘death’ again. We can see the smirk on that smug face of yours, HBO. You had better wipe your face clean or we’ll stop watching this show of yours. No, wait! We were only joking. Please don’t kill Khaleesi now.

How you play with us HBO. You know perfectly well what we felt after you decided to off Jon Snow, but for some reason thought it best to play it coy. You told us he was dead, then you brought him to film scenes on set. And then, as if to add insult to injury, you plastered his face on a poster. Why?
Anyway, we’ll be there in April. We’re waiting.
