Kishwar Merchant spills the beans on her December wedding

Actor Kishwer Merchant talks about her winter wedding with boyfriend Suyyash Rai.

Actors Suyyash Rai and Kishwer Merchant are all set for a December wedding, but there won’t be any elaborate rituals or week long celebrations. The couple has opted for a simple court marriage followed by a reception.

“We have been planning this wedding for a long time and it is about time we got married. It is a dream come true for me, because I am seven years older to Suyyash and we are really looking forward to the big day,” says Merchant.

“It will be a normal court wedding followed by a reception. There will be a Mehendi function for sure,” she adds.

Suyyash Rai and Kishwer Merchant have been dating for about six years now.

Is the couple planning some kind of theme for the wedding? “No. I don’t want to limit people to a particular theme. I and Suyyash might coordinate our outfits but people are free to dress the way they like,” she says.

The couple has been dating for almost six years now, but it wasn’t love at first sight for them.

“No. It took us couple of months to really understand each other. I did not meet him and think of marriage. It was only after the first year of our relationship when he took me to the Golden Temple, when I realised that he was the one. I always thought whoever will take me to that place, will be my soulmate and Suyyash did,” laughs Merchant.
