Marriage will happen soon: Kanan Malhotra

The two had met on their TV show, Rab Se Sohna Isshq, and got engaged last year. But soon after, there were rumours of their break-up after reports surfaced that Ekta didn’t like the fact that Kanan was getting close to his co-star Neha Janpandit.

Ekta Kaul had quite an eventful stint on popular dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. But all through her journey, which eventually ended last weekend in her elimination following an injury, her fiancé, actor Kanan Malhotra was not seen by her side.

The two had met on their TV show, Rab Se Sohna Isshq, and got engaged last year. But soon after, there were rumours of their break-up after reports surfaced that Ekta didn’t like the fact that Kanan was getting close to his co-star Neha Janpandit.

However, Kanan rubbishes all such talks, saying, “Those were all rumours.” Ask him if they plan to tie the knot and he says, “Marriage will happen soon, but there’s no set date yet. I can say it is not happening in the next six months for sure.”

When asked about why he wasn’t seen cheering her on during the show, the actor cited his own busy schedule as the sole reason. “I was in Delhi since the last one month. I came back to Mumbai when I learnt about her injury,” says Kanan.
