On Children’s Day, child actors talk about what they miss

On Children’s Day (November 14), we talk to popular child actors Ruhana Khanna, Arsheen Naamdar, Spandan Chaturvedi and Ruhanika Dhawan to find out what they miss out on while they work on sets.

Child actors on the small screen seem to have two jobs. They are not only shooting for their shows, but also studying simultaneously. With perhaps a busier life than grown-ups, this Children’s day, we ask a few of them what they miss as they balance school and shooting for their respective television shows.

I feel blessed to have gained such an experience at this age. Because of my TV show, I have received a lot of love from all over the world. But somewhere I miss so many activities which I used to do earlier. Even though my studies are at par with the syllabus taught in school, I miss being in school with my friends. I used to participate in all the functions and celebrations like annual day, sports day, debates, children’s day celebrations etc. in my school. I miss watching my favorite cartoon shows on television as well.

I love going to school and spending time with friends. I would look forward to participating in activities in school and interacting with teachers. I would enjoy playing sports with friends at school. I was unable to do so with shooting. I specially miss my teacher who taught me how to dance.

I shoot only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So I don’t really miss out on much. I have my share of fun and play with friends. I attend my school regularly and I’m also doing my co-curriculars, so I’m happy shooting and studying.
