Television actor Aashka Goradia says playing the same character every day can get monotonous. “There is a certain monotony that sets in, but you still have a commitment which you need to honour. So you need to be part of that show unless the makers decide to take the show off air,” says the 30-year-old.

TV actor Aashka Goradia says the length of a character has never mattered to her.

Aashka recently joined the cast of supernatural show, Naagin, for its concluding week.

“Of course, there are exceptions. If you have been told at the beginning that you will be part of the show till a certain point and then this is extended, then you can opt out. It all depends on the case,” she adds.

“Here (in Naagin) too, I did not think about the length of my role. The character that I am getting to play is important. The role is exciting enough and this was why I decided to take it up,” adds Aashka, who has been seen in television shows such as Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Kkusum.
