Youngest bahu on the tube waits for her husband outside school gate. The multiplication tables for 15 are being taught. Little girl remembers her own school days and gets teary-eyed. Sad. But her tears dry up pronto when the teacher sets a math problem for the class. Little bahu starts solving it right there outside the gate, scrawling on the mud. Can she get any more adorable? Chweet!

Such a long engagement

The hall is set, the aarti ki thali is prepared, the rings are in place. But girl’s mother is distracted. She drops the thali. Then, she picks up every single rose petal from the floor, constantly glancing at her daughter (in blinding green and orange) and shifty-eyed dulha. Fresh thali is brought in. Rings are almost exchanged. Mum’s now looking at the open door and then at the daughter. Almost like watching a tennis match. Finally, mum screams, “Nahiin… abhi nahin!” When then? Break ke baad?
