TV actors Rashami Desai and Nandish Sandhu have filed for divorce after four years of marriage. While speculations say Rashami called it quits over her husband’s relationship with a model, Nandish has refuted the rumours.
Nandish told Times of India, “Rashami had asked for a divorce last year, but I convinced her to give our marriage another try. However, when she asked for it again, I did not resist because I’ve tried my best to make things work.” The duo has appeared in the popular TV show Uttaran and Rashami is also known for her performance in Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke. Rashami also did a cameo in Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg 2.

Confirming the report, Rashami told the daily, “Yes, the divorce proceedings have begun. We tried our best to save the marriage, but the cracks in the relationship were beyond repair. If two people are not happy together, it’s better to end the relationship than prolong the suffering. We decided that we should free each other from the marital bond.”
Rashami and Nandish met on the sets of Uttaran and got married in February 2011. However, within a year, there were rumours of constant tiffs and of Nandish physically abusing Rashmi. The couple separated in 2013. However, the actors tried to patch up their differences and make things work for the past two years. They even appeared as a couple on the dance reality show Nach Baliye 7 earlier this year and reports claimed that being together on the show helped them. A source told Hindustan Times, “Nandish even put sindoor (vermillion) on Rashmi’s forehead and told her that he wouldn’t mind marrying her all over again, every year.”
