"She is my wife and we respect each other. The fact is that we are not enemies and there is nothing that cannot be sorted out between two individuals. And currently, we are working towards it (reconciling), says Sandhu.tv Updated: May 01, 2014 18:09 IST
Small screen actor Nandish Sandhu, has been in the news recently, owing to reports of problems between him and his wife, TV actor Rashami Desai. However, Nandish says that both of them are trying to work out their differences.
"She is my wife and we respect each other. The fact is that we are not enemies and there is nothing that cannot be sorted out between two individuals. And currently, we are working towards it (reconciling),” says the 30-year-old who first met Rashami on the sets of the TV show Uttaran and got married to her in 2011.
Ask him if media reports bother him, and Nandish says that not everything that is written or spoken about a celebrity in the media should be clarified. “I do read everything that’s written about me but at times it is not possible to give clarifications for everything. Moreover, I try to avoid talking about delicate personal issues in public, because it leads to interference from many people. Everyone seems to have an opinion about our problems.”
Talking about work, the actor who will soon be seen in an upcoming episode of the TV series Encounter, based on real-life criminal incidents, says that he’s getting a welcome break from daily soaps.
“I’m not against doing soaps and am even in talks for some. But the fact remains that these shorter format of production are more realistic. As an actor, the monotony that sets in while you do a daily soap that drags on for years, does not set in here,” says Nandish, who will be seen playing the role of inspector Sartaj Qureshi on the crime show.
Besides TV, like many other telly stars, Nandish, too, harbours plans of making it big in Bollywood. “I do look forward to working in Bollywood and I’m even in talks for a few projects but it is too early to share things. I need everyone’s blessings to make it big.”
