‘11 jets shot down, 200% tariff threat…’: Trump’s fresh claim on how he stopped India-Pakistan war

U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated his claim that he helped stop the India–Pakistan military standoff linked to Operation Sindoor, saying he threatened both countries with 200% tariffs and conditioned trade talks on ending hostilities. Speaking at a Board of Peace meeting, Trump also alleged that 11 jets were shot down during the conflict and argued that the prospect of economic losses pushed both sides toward a deal. India has consistently denied any U.S. role in the ceasefire understanding, while Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif has publicly credited Trump for intervention, the report said.
