'5G, 6G in India soon': PM Modi's big announcement; Slams Cong's 2g era

- In a veiled attack on Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India is making rapid strides in the telecom sector as 5G and 6G will help boost growth in every sector. Taking potshots at the previous Congress-led UPA government, PM Modi said the 2G era was symbolic of policy paralysis and corruption. He added that the country, under his government, has moved transparently to 4G and is now going to 5G. Speaking at the silver jubilee event of telecom sector regulator TRAI, he said it is estimated that the 5G network rollout will add USD 450 billion to the Indian economy.
