Bessent drops sanctions hint after 'temporary' oil purchase waiver for India amid Hormuz blockade

Bessent told Fox Business’ “Kudlow” that “we may unsanction other Russian oil,” noting there are “hundreds of millions of sanctioned barrels of crude on the water” and that by unsanctioning them, Treasury can “create supply,” which officials are now “looking at.” This comes after the 30‑day license allowing Indian refiners to buy stranded Russian cargoes already at sea.
