Bessent targets Mojtaba's financial lifelines, puts US Arab allies at risk?

The U.S.-Iran confrontation is entering a new phase as Washington shifts its focus toward financial warfare against Tehran. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent described the campaign as the “endgame” and compared the pressure drive to an “economic D-Day”, with Washington targeting Iran’s oil buyers, transport networks, financial channels, shipping registries and other economic lifelines. Bessent argued that achieving total financial isolation could reduce the need for further military action. Meanwhile, Iran has warned that countries supporting the U.S. pressure campaign could face severe consequences, including possible disruption of oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz.
