Former Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Najeeb Jung, joined a protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019. Jung visited a protest outside Jamia Millia Islamia university in the national capital. While addressing the protestors, the former VC of Jamia, suggested that if Muslims are added in CAA, or if names of other religions are removed from the legislation, then the issue would be resolved. Jung also suggested that the Prime Minister can call the protestors and talk to them to end the stand-off. When asked about PM Modi's allegation that the Opposition parties are misleading people on CAA, Jung said that he is not a part of the Opposition, but is a common citizen.
