The Kasganj assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh which goes to polls in Phase III on February 20, is known for being a swing seat. Locals in the temple town believe that whichever political party wins from here forms the government in the state. In 2002, it was the BSP, the Samajwadi Party formed the government in the state after its candidate won in 2012 and in 2017 BJP swept on this seat and eventually Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath formed the government. Kasganj has a rich political history of deciding the chief ministers for the past 17 years. Can polls in Kasganj decide the fate of the next Uttar Pradesh chief minister too?
